Saraswati Āratī

sarasvatī āratī  (सरस्वती आरती)

 

मंगल आरती माता सरस्वती। नमो नमो वाग्देवि भारती॥

maṁgala āratī mātā sarasvatī, namo namo vāgdevi bhāratī.

We offer auspicious āratī unto mother Sarasvatī. Salutations unto Bhāratī, the Goddess of speech.

हंसवाहिनी श्रुतिसाम्राज्ञी। संगीतसाहित्य विद्यादायिनी।
वन्दित सुरमुनिसिद्ध भामिनी। देवि शारदे वरप्रदायिनी॥१॥

haṁsavāhinī śrutisāmrājñī, saṁgītasāhitya vidyādāyinī,
vandita suramunisiddha bhāminī, devi śārade varapradāyinī. (1)

O Goddess Śāradā, (we offer auspicious āratī unto you,) who rides the Swan, is the Queen of the kingdom of the Vedas and is the bestower of music, literature and knowledge. She is worshipped by the deities, sages and siddhas, is the most beautiful and one who confers the boons.

श्वेतपद्मासनस्थित ब्रह्माणी। दया कृपा मधु अमृतवर्षिणी।
प्रसन्नवदने देहि मे शुभमति। भगवति तव पद नित्य भक्तिरति॥२॥

śvetapadmāsanasthita brahmāṇī, dayā kṛpā madhu amṛtavarṣiṇī,
prasannavadane dehi me śubhamati, bhagavati tava pada nitya bhaktirati. (2)

(We offer auspicious āratī unto Goddess Bhāratī,) who is seated on the white lotus, is the consort of the Lord Brahmā and who showers us with the sweet nectar of grace and compassion. O Goddess of pleasant countenance, please grant me an auspicious mind and an abiding delight in the devotion unto your Feet.
