Aksharabhyaas, also known as Vidyarambham, is one of 16 samskaras (purification rituals) to be performed in the life of a Hindu.  During this ceremony, we invoke Maa Saraswati’s blessings to initiate our children on to the path of formal learning.

Chinmaya Mission Ottawa is pleased to offer an opportunity for your child to participate in this sacred event on Saturday November 9 at 11:30 am.  Puja will be performed under the guidance of Dhavalbhai Purohit from the Hindu Temple of Ottawa Carleton, and each child will receive special blessings from Swami Prakashananda.  This event is open to any family with children between the ages of 2 and 5 years.

Suggested daanam for this event is $101. E-transfers can be made to cmottawa.mail@gmail.com with the word Aksharaabhyaas and your child’s name in the comment.
