शिव मानस पूजा śiva mānasa pūjā

Verse 1
रत्नैः कल्पितमासनं हिमजलैः स्नानं च दिव्याम्बरं
नानारत्नविभूषितं मृगमदामोदाङ्कितं चन्दनम् ।
जातीचम्पकबिल्वपत्ररचितं पुष्पं च धूपं तथा
दीपं देव दयानिधे पशुपते हृत्कल्पितं गृह्यताम् ॥१॥
ratnaiḥ kalpitamāsanaṁ himajalaiḥ snānaṁ ca divyāmbaraṁ
nānāratna vibhūṣitaṁ mṛgamadā modāṅkitaṁ candanam ।
jātī campaka bilvapatra racitaṁ puṣpaṁ ca dhūpaṁ tathā
dīpaṁ deva dayānidhe paśupate hṛtkalpitaṁ gṛhyatām ॥1॥
O Lord, (in my mind) I offer to you a seat (asanam) studded with gems; cool waters of the Himalayas for you to bathe (snanam); divine clothes (vastram) with gems to wear, sandal paste (chandanam) with musk of a deer to anoint your body; flowers (pushpam) like jasmine and champaka and bilva leaves for you to adorn. I wave the fragrant incense stick (dhupam) and light flame (deepam); Oh ocean of compassion, Pashupati (Lord of all bound creatures), please accept my offerings that I have imagined within my heart for you.
Verse 2
सौवर्णे नवरत्नखण्डरचिते पात्रे घृतं पायसं
भक्ष्यं पञ्चविधं पयोदधियुतं रम्भाफलं पानकम् ।
शाकानामयुतं जलं रुचिकरं कर्पूरखण्डोज्ज्वलं
ताम्बूलं मनसा मया विरचितं भक्त्या प्रभो स्वीकुरु ॥२॥
sauvarṇe navaratnakhaṇḍa racite pātre ghṛtaṁ pāyasaṁ
bhakṣyaṁ paṅcavidhaṁ payodadhiyutaṁ rambhāphalaṁ pānakam ।
śākānāmayutaṁ jalaṁ rucikaraṁ karpūra khaṇḍojjvalaṁ
tāmbūlaṁ manasā mayā viracitaṁ bhaktyā prabho svīkuru ॥2॥
O Lord, (in my mind) I offer you ghee and payasam (naivedyam) in a golden bowl studded with nine gems; food made with five ingredients such as milk, curd, and bananas, jaggery and water; vegetables and fruits, and scented water; betel leaves with karpoor. O Lord, please accept all these offerings that I imagined in my mind out of devotion to you.
Verse 3
छत्रं चामरयोर्युगं व्यजनकं चादर्शकं निर्मलं
वीणाभेरिमृदङ्गकाहलकला गीतं च नृत्यं तथा ।
साष्टाङ्गं प्रणतिः स्तुतिर्बहुविधा ह्येतत्समस्तं मया
सङ्कल्पेन समर्पितं तव विभो पूजां गृहाण प्रभो ॥३॥
chatraṁ cāmarayoryugaṁ vyajanakaṁ cādarśakaṁ nirmalaṁ
vīṇā bheri mṛdaṅga kāhalakalā gītaṁ ca nṛtyaṁ tathā ।
sāṣṭāṅgaṁ praṇatiḥ stutirbahuvidhā hyetat-samastaṁ mayā
saṅkalpena samarpitaṁ tava vibho pūjāṁ gṛhāṇa prabho ॥3॥
O Lord, (in my mind) I hold an umbrella (for cool shade); I fan you with chamara; I offer you a spotless mirror (representing my heart purified by your grace); I offer to you music with Veena, bheri, and drums, songs, and dance; I fully prostrate before you chanting various stotras in praise of you. O Lord, please accept my worship done in my mind.
Verse 4
आत्मा त्वं गिरिजा मतिः सहचराः प्राणाः शरीरं गृहं
पूजा ते विषयोपभोगरचना निद्रा समाधिस्थितिः ।
सञ्चारः पदयोः प्रदक्षिणविधिः स्तोत्राणि सर्वा गिरो
यद्यत्कर्म करोमि तत्तदखिलं शम्भो तवाराधनम् ॥४॥
ātmā tvaṁ girijā matiḥ sahacharāḥ prāṇāḥ śarīraṁ gṛhaṁ
pūjā te viṣayopabhoga-racanā nidrā samādhisthitiḥ ।
saṅcāraḥ padayoḥ pradakṣiṇavidhiḥ stotrāṇi sarvā giro
yadyatkarma karomi tattadakhilaṁ śambho tavārādhanam ॥4॥
O Lord, you are my Atma (Soul/Self); Ma Girija is my Intellect; my five Pranas (Prana, Apana, Vyana, Udana, Samana) are your attendants; my body is your abode; my interactions with the world are nothing but worship to you; my sleep is the state of Samadhi (complete absorption in you); my act of walking is circumambulation (pradakshina) to you; all my speech is hymns in praise of you; whatever I do, all that is worship to you, o benevolent Lord Shambho!
Verse 5
करचरणकृतं वाक्कायजं कर्मजं वा
श्रवणनयनजं वा मानसं वापराधम् ।
विहितमविहितं वा सर्वमेतत्क्षमस्व
जय जय करुणाब्धे श्रीमहादेव शम्भो ॥५॥
kara caraṇa kṛtaṁ vāk-kāyajaṁ karmajaṁ vā
śravaṇa nayanajaṁ vā mānasaṁ vāparādham ।
vihitamavihitaṁ vā sarvametat-kṣamasva
jaya jaya karuṇābdhe śrī mahādeva śambho ॥5॥
(Kshama Prarthana) Whatever wrongdoings I have committed with my hands, feet, speech, body, my actions, by my sense organs, and by my mind (Manas), done knowingly and unknowingly (appropriately and inappropriately as well), please forgive them all! Victory to you, O Ocean of Compassion! O benevolent Lord Shambho!
